If you decide to apply for a visitor visa (VV) to Canada, you must complete some documentation. I recommend you to apply through the new portal by registering https://www.cic.gc.ca/visit-visiter/en/instructions-ircc-portal since the processing time through this portal is shorter. You should register your details in the IRCC portal and create an account before processing the application. These documents are explained for the case where the study permit of the main applicant has been granted but he/she is still in the home country and the spouse is looking forward to applying for a VV so that they could travel together.

Supporting Documents
1. Police clearance certificate of applicant
Register for an online police clearance report at https://opcr.nepalpolice.gov.np/#/login. Provide complete and accurate information. Otherwise, you may have trouble accessing the report. My husband was denied a report just because his name resembled a suspect in a drug case from 2070 B.S. The fact that the police department didn’t even try digging into additional data, such as the father’s name or citizenship number, surprised us the most. His report was withheld for weeks only because the names were the same.
2. Remote working approval of applicant
If possible, prepare a letter from your employer stating that you have been permitted a few months of remote working and that you must return to work once your remote working period has ended. This will strengthen your case because it gives evidence that the traveler will return to Nepal for work. This letter is not compulsory but provides a strong base for your VV application.

5. Purpose of travel
Write down a letter thoroughly explaining what is the reason behind your travel. This letter must be convincing to the VISA Officer.

6. VISA stamp of the main applicant
Attach a scanned copy of the main applicant’s page of passport with Visa for Canada.
7. Pictures of chat history
Attach a few screenshots of chat history to show that you have been together for a long. Remember you cannot exceed the file size. Thus, attaching too much of screenshots would not be worthy.
8. Pictures before and after marriage
A few before and after marriage pictures as proof that your marriage is genuine will suffice.
9. Youtube link of marriage
We attached this because we had one. If you don’t have you shouldn’t panic about it. It’s all about showing the Visa Officer that your marriage is not fake and you did not marry each other for the purpose of the Visa application.
All the best guys! You are almost there.
