John Mayer at Scotia Bank Arena: All About Dopamine Rush!

As soon as the lights dimmed and the stage lit up, I knew I was in for a special night. JP Saxe was just done with his last song and John Mayer had taken the stage at the arena. The anticipation and excitement in the air were palpable. The sold-out crowd was electric with excitement, and I could also feel the dopamine rush inside me.

And Mayer just started it right, with my favorite songs from his list, ‘Slow Dancing in a Burning Room’. Suddenly I found myself jumping to my feet, clapping and singing along with Mayer and the crowd. His incredible guitar skills and emotive voice had the whole arena rocking, and I felt like I was a part of something bigger than myself. To add icing to the cake, JM sang a new song ‘Drifting’ which was is not yet released.

Throughout the night, Mayer played a mix of new and old songs, each one met with raucous applause and screams of excitement. His guitar solos were simply mesmerizing, and I found myself completely immersed in the music.

One of the most memorable moments of the convert was when Mayer played a double-neck acoustic version of ‘Edge of Desire. All I could think of was ‘Oh my god, this person is magical!’. His voice, guitar, and the lyrics were shining, and I moved to tears by the raw emotion in his performance.

But it wasn’t just Mayer’s music that made the night so special – it was his interaction with the crowd. He told stories about his songs and shared personal anecdotes about his life, making me feel like I was a part of his journey.

John Mayer’s world tour

As the concert drew to a close, JM launched into an epic encore that included fan-favorites ‘Born and Raised’ and ‘Free Fallin’. The energy in the arena was at an all-time high and I was vibing along with the crowd.

And the last notes of the final song faded away. I was left with a feeling of pure joy and gratitude. Seeing John Mayer live was an experience I will never forget, and I left the arena feeling grateful. Grateful to have been a part of such an unforgettable night of music. Grateful that I am living in the era of John Mayer. Mostly grateful for all the stars that aligned right to make my dream come true. Sheerly grateful.
