After successfully lodging a visa for Canada, applicants should give their biometrics to VFS global. Applicants will receive BIL (Biometric Instruction Letter) on their respective GcKey for this. Once you get the BIL, you must book an appointment with VFS global to proceed further.
How to book an appointment at VFS Global?
- Visit the site https://www.vfsglobal.com/en/individuals/index.html

2. Select the country you are applying from and the country you are going to as shown below. Click take me to the website afterward.

3. On the ‘Book Appointment’ category, select ‘Book Now.

4. Since booking an appointment through email is comparatively easier, go to the email option and click on ‘webform’.

5. Fill in all the required details and click submit. If the appointment is for biometrics, you should select ”Biometric appointment-for only bio cases’. Likewise, you must select ‘package transmission’ if your appointment is to submit your passport and ‘passport collection’ if the appointment is to collect your passport. Be very careful while selecting your appointment category because if you select the wrong one, your appointment won’t be considered valid.

6. After you submit the form, you will get a confirmation in your email address. You must print out the confirmation of appointment when you go to the VFS on your appointment date.
What must you take with you on your biometric day?
