Bungee: My Adrenaline Overflow experience at Go Bungy Nepal!!

Aren’t they thrilled? Don’t they have a heart? Do they even love their life? Aren’t they scared of heights? How do they handle the adrenaline overflow? These questions and many more will strike your mind when you hear someone share their bungee story. I, for one, have first-hand answers to all these questions.

Was I thrilled? Of course!! I was thrilled to pieces when my husband announced that he has booked a bungee as a surprise gift for my birthday. Even though I have always wanted to jump off that cliff and fly in the air like a free bird, I was overwhelmed to hear the news.

Don’t I have a heart? I have. A GUTSY one! I am not trying to brag but my experience made me realize that it’s more about wanting something and achieving it than about having a heart. If you want it so bad, nothing in this universe is unaccomplishable.

Do I love my life? Aren’t I scared of heights? Yes to both. I love my life so much that I have to fulfill all of my wishes in the limited time I’ve got. Everyone is scared when they walk up that cantilever knowing that they have to jump more than 150 meters down in a few minutes.

The day of the jump: The day of the adrenaline overflow!

Until about 10 minutes before the jump, I was super excited. I thought I could pull it off easily. It was when one of the crew members started tying jumping bands on my legs I couldn’t feel my heart. Who am I kidding? I can’t even jump a few stairs in my house. I looked at my husband and my brother (who was ready to jump after me) as I moved towards the edge of the cliff.

On the first countdown, I almost pulled off. I was scared and I thought I would vanish into the river and I would die if I jump. However, the crew member who was standing right behind me convinced me that the longer I stood on the edge, the more scared I would be. I looked at my husband one more time. He was more scared than I ever was. But, he was hopeful at the same time. That made me think to myself NOW OR NEVER. And I JUMPED!!

I jumped the cliff. I felt the freefall, the thrust, and the adrenaline overflow. Everything was so calm and relaxing after that. The excitement was back. And I was grateful that I did it!! The first thing I wanted to do was go back up and hug my husband. And I did that too!

The whole experience with the bungee made me realize that if anything feels so scary, the feeling is momentary. The experience ahead will be amazing. After all, every rainbow begins with rain, and every bright sunny day begins with thunderstorms.
