Twelve must-reads of Nicholas Sparks!

Nicholas Sparks is an American author who has written numerous best-selling books. All of his stories are so passionate and fascinating that sometimes it gets tough to know where to begin. I have prepared a list of twelve books that are my personal favorite. Begin with this delicious dozen and you can explore the rest of his impassioned masterpieces afterward.

12. The best of me

Amanda Collier and Dawson Cole, two high school seniors, fell madly and irreversibly in love in the spring of 1984. However, as the summer of their senior year came to an end, unforeseen events tore the young couple apart, sending them down drastically different paths. There are chances that readers will find this book not as good, however, you must give it a try.

11. The Lucky One

If you are a fierce believer in luck and destiny, then The Lucky One is your must-read. The book is the story of Logan, a US Marine who comes across a picture of a woman he has never met. He gets so much encaptured by the picture that he sets out on a journey to find that woman.

10. The Longest Ride

The longest ride is one of the finest creations of Nicholas Sparks. It explains the love story of two completely different couples in North Carolina. The author brings down the story of these two couples in a surprising way. Both these stories will stay engraved in readers’ hearts for a long. The novel indeed is ‘Two couples. Two love stories. One epic tale.’

9. Two by two

Two by two is an incredibly moving tale that portrays the power of love to lift us out of the darkest of situations. Russel Green’s idyllic existence in Charlotte is shattered when a significant surprise turns his entire world upside down. He has a gorgeous wife, a lovely six-year-old daughter, an excellent career, and a lovely home. However, he’s out of the job, out of the marriage, and fighting to pick up the pieces of his broken life while caring for his daughter on his own.

8. See me

See Me is a story of Colin (rebellious bad boy) and Maria(Lawyer), and how a mere encounter alters both their lives forever. Though it is criticized by many readers for being a slow and dull story, you will love the emotion-fueled suspense of the story.

7. Safe haven

Safe haven is a story of Katie, a young woman in North Carolina, who is beautiful and shy. She is reluctant to form personal ties. However, a series of events draws her into two relationships: one with Alex, a widowed store owner, and another with Jo, her single neighbour. Katie slowly lets her guards down as she becomes extremely attached to Alex and his family.

6. A walk to remember

A walk to remember explains the story of Landon Carter and how he falls in love with Jamie Sullivan, a daughter of the town’s baptist minister. A twist in fate makes Jamie and Landon partners for the homecoming dance, and their lives are changed forever. Mark my words, you will absolutely love this novel!

5. Dear John

Dear John is the first novel of Nicholas Sparks that I read. This is personally my favorite novel. There are chances you will not love how the story of John and Savannah ends. However, you will find yourself engrossed in this book after few pages. Alert: at the end of the book, you will find your heart broken with two words, ‘Dear John’.

4. The wish

‘The wish’ explains the enduring legacy of first love, and the decisions that haunts you forever. This book is a must must must read. This book will surely make you soak into the story and cry for hours. You will get hooked in the story, it gets more interesting and more sad.

3. Message in a bottle

If you believe in destiny, if you believe in luck, this is the right book for you! This book will make you wonder what will happen next. The book explains romance after grief, with a spin of mystery. This book will convince you that destiny will find its way no matter what!

2. The last song

The last song is a story of Veronica Miller, Ronnie who faces emotional problems after her parents’ separation. Even though the ending of the book is emotional and depressing, the voyage that this novel takes you through is worth it. There’s mystery, love, affection, confirmation, and many more. I have recommended this book to every bibliophile I’ve met. This book will touch your heart in so many ways.

1. The notebook

Whenever I talk about Nicholas Sparks, ‘The notebook’ always comes up. This heartwarming novel had me on the edge of my seat, unable to put the book down. Nicholas Sparks’ distinctive storytelling will have you fighting back tears and hoping for a romance similar to Noah and Allie’s. Believe me, you will eagerly turn each page to find out what happened to Allie and Noah.
